Position Summary
BESYS Technologies PLC is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage the operational setup and day-to-day activities of a new technology-based production and assembly operation.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing production processes, technical teams, quality control systems, and operational resources to ensure efficient and high-quality production output.
The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of electronic equipment assembly or similar manufacturing environments, and the ability to build operational systems from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Planning and Management
- Lead the planning, setup, and management of operational activities for a new production and assembly facility.
- Develop and implement operational procedures, workflow systems, and production schedules.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources, equipment, and manpower.
Production Management
- Oversee production processes to ensure operational efficiency and timely delivery of products.
- Monitor production targets, productivity levels, and operational performance.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Establish and maintain quality assurance systems and operational standards.
- Ensure products meet company and industry quality requirements.
- Implement inspection and testing procedures to maintain product reliability.
Supply Chain and Inventory Management
- Coordinate procurement planning and inventory control to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to maintain efficient supply chains.
- Monitor material usage and optimize inventory levels.
Equipment and Facility Management
- Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of technical equipment and production tools.
- Ensure proper maintenance systems and operational safety standards are implemented.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, supervise, and develop technical and operational staff.
- Provide leadership, training, and performance management for production teams.
- Foster a productive and collaborative working environment.
Reporting and Performance Monitoring
- Prepare operational reports and performance analysis for senior management.
- Monitor operational costs, productivity, and efficiency indicators.
- Recommend strategies to improve operational performance.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement process improvements and best practices in operations management
Required Qualifications
Education
- MA/Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in operations or production management.
- Experience in technology, electronics, manufacturing, or industrial production environments is highly desirable.
- Experience in setting up or managing production operations is a strong advantage.
